The guy is such a talented boxer, he's got great speed, very athletic and very solid boxing ability, if he got his head right he could be one if the best in the world, I even think he has a shot at beating Ward. It's a real shame he's been inactive over the last couple years. He's been a wasted talent.

The main problem with Dirrell is the fact he's a cowardly disgrace who's most famous not for his boxing skills but for his acting skills.

It's tough for even the biggest natural talent to mask a glass jaw and heart...

I agree he needs to get back into action real soon...He's just wasting time by not doing anything.

    Yupp.

Might be the biggest waste of pure natural talent in recent memory. But talent can only take you so far.

Pretty sure most of us "hoe ass dudes" have been in some fights. I'd say a large % of us have shared a ring.

But only a couple of us like Ding and Chauncey actually have the combined talent and heart to make a living in the ring.

Don't think for a second though that the vast majority of us "hoe ass dudes" wouldn't jump right into the ring with Ward or Bute or Froch or even a Klitschko if it meant making a living doing what we love, even if it meant getting sparked.

Posters who call Andre Dirrel a "coward" are merely reflecting his heart compared to say, Tony Dirrels. Tony wants Ward. Tony wants Froch. Tony want Bute. Tony would take any title fight for damned near any REASONABLE dollar amount, because Tony wants to be a champion.:deal

I think he had the talent to be a real star. Still does. Now he just doesn't have the mentality. I think the Super Six might have broke him mentally. Too much. Too soon.

Hope to see him back. Hope to see his brother brought up properly. He is a guy to watch.

When you get through...I dont see how you bitches can sit on your fat ass and call a guy that fights for a living a coward. You will never get me to understand that no matter how hard you try.:-(

I dont care what you think you could or can do...The simple fact that you are not doing it (fighting) so you can save that melo-dramatic bull**** for somebody else.:good

Hi mate, great post. I've been thinking the same thing for a while. At the start of the Super Six, I honestly thought he would get to the final, and I thought he had a real chance of winning it. I thought he beat Froch and he was more than unlucky not to get the decision. He's got fantastic slick skills, but he needs to get his career back on track. I think if he was fully fit and he was mentally prepared, I think he could give Ward a lot of problems. It's a real shame what happened with Abraham.

    Regards, Loudon.

He's lost one fight which was questionable.

So ironic the way he's dogged on, but at the same time, almost every one says that he is the only person that has a chance to beat the best fighter in the class.

Even though I really dislike Dirrell, he is a terrific talent and it's a shame to see his best years wasted like this. Want to see him fight Ward sometime next year.

He doesn't have a chance to beat Ward, and that isn't me offending Dirrell, in fact I don't think anyone near his weight gives him a close fight.

Plus I see where that guy is coming from, he is only being called a coward in comparison to other people at his level, but I gotta agree that guy was a bit dramatic about it.
