As any star rises in the ranks wins fight,a group of people will hate on him,Floyd,Pac,Cotto and now Ward..

For people that say he is boring, shows how a good percentage of people do not appreciate technical boxers, the guy is the #1 contender in his weight class what other guy is as dominant in his weight class as Andre..

He proved this by winning the tournament,if Floyd or Pac had won a 6 man tournament and won, they would both be thrown higher in their ATG rankings, for the simple fact they showed they are the best in their whole division.

I have a lot of respect for Ward. He's become the best super middleweight champion, cleaned out the division and he's among of the best boxers boxers in the world. He also seems to be a decent, well spoken guy and a good ambassador for the sport.

I'm not a hater and I do appreciate his technical prowess. However I'm still not really a fan. His style just doesn't move me. I'm always going to prefer watching guys like Morales, Cotto or Pacquiao; I just can't help that.

I don't really get the hate either, he is the arguably the second best boxer when it comes to skill today, Marquez and Floyd may be above him but they don't have many years left before they retire.

When they retire Ward will probably be P4P 1, and Rigondeaux will by then will start to move up the P4P list I think.

Nothing but respect and admiration for Andre. He's a superstar and we should appreciate his kind especially in a generation of boxers like this.

Good,yes-great,hardly.It's like saying you enjoy the excitement B-Hop gives the fans in his fights.A large part of a fighters popularity is being fan friendly and be entertaining.I find B-Hop and Ward cut from the same piece of cloth-effective but hard to watch.
Anyone who witnessed the Matthse-Ajose fight was more entertained than Ward -Dawson,in my opinion.

You have to be a professional hater to hate on Andre Ward. Hate'en has to be listed on your resume at that point. You gotta hang out with guys like Silky Johnson and Buc Nasty to hate on Ward.

It is aways this way. There are a number of people who will always hate on the successful guy, its motivated by jealousy.

Hate is way to strong of a word.

    He's a very good fighter/Champion.
You can appreciate his talent inside the ring, like him as a person outside the ring and still be able to criticize him a bit for certain things...like moving up to LH to face Dawson so there is little excuse for a possible negative weight-loss from the bigger Man. And it would have helped his legacy fighting and possibly winning in another division...a division that in history is more prestigious than the one you are currently fighting.

Other than that, he is Good for the Sport in and outside of the ring.

Friends met him after a fight and said he was nice, humble, and took pictures.

If he'd cut the constant fanatical religious bull****, I'd find it easier to be a fan of his. He's still P4P #2 though.

Hes such a complete fighter. Anyone who has ever boxed has to appreciate his technical skill and fundamental mastery. If I were teaching someone to box i would tell them to watch Andre Ward. I'll hate if he starts ducking top guys but i just don't see that happening.
