When Bunce is wise after the event even though what happened is the total opposite of what he said before the event e.g. saying that Khan quit/didn't quit depending on whether Khan was in earshot or not, same with Joshua.

"that punch would have KO'd everyone"

Whenever a fighter with an already expected or proven feeble chin gets sparked out.

    “Punch perfect”
    Hate it. A fighter’s
gave a dominant performance and it was “punch perfect” was it f***.
Also Smith keeps over using the word class. In his case it he’s showing his “claaaars”

    There’s levels in boxing.

"Styles make fights" is by far the worst, which while sometimes true is a vastly overused phrase designed to make one look smart and knowledgeable. It can be the answer to almost any boxing question, and while it sounds good, it doesn't impart any actual content.

For example, Ruiz was a bum whose every aspect was designed to make Anthony Joshua look good (his short height, his short reach, his average power, his leaky defence, his come-forward style which was tailor made for Joshua's power punches and which would lead to a spectacular knockout). After the fight (and only after), everyone says "styles make fights", and that Ruiz is a nightmare style match-up for Joshua.

More a statement than a cliche from the casuals......

"Mike Tyson is the best fighter ever."

The nationality ones are cringeworthy. Mexicans all have exactly the same style. West African fighters are teak tough. Eastern Europeans are robotic. The way some go on about travellers you'd think they were a different species.

You get it in all sports in fairness and it's actually a bit dubious when you think about it. Take football. Germans are always efficient and ruthless. African sides are powerful. South Americans silky. I mean, if Roque Junior was silky I give up.

"That was a real close round, it depends what you like"
Carl froch or matchroom pundits when the home fighter loses a round.
    "He's daring to be great"
Sky when a boxer is actually fighting someone note worthy

I like Fury but it always annoys me when he says that. His style doesn’t really lend itself to that quote either lol
