before a fight... "It's god's plan for me to win this fight and become champion"

After losing said fight... "It just wasn't god's will for me to win tonight"

The use of the words "pound for pound" should be punishable by execution

i tend to agree, its protecting a fighter mentally. Some take it further like abraham or tyson who would rather beat themselves than know that someone beat you, all about pride, those defeats will show up as DQ, not that the other fighter was better.

Ah, the classic! Enzo's M and C did a belter after Enzo M lost to Haye. Between Enzo saying "full respect but he only won cause I made a mistake" to Enzo C's "Enzo's still the better fighter. If it took Haye that many punches, he can't be that powerful."

I was going to post that

I'm starting to get pissed of with people like Roach saying "We're going to knock him out"

**** of Freddie, you're not doing the fighting!

This is the one that winds me up the most...people talk about intangibles and then go on to discuss these intangibles in great detail :nut

    A couple of forum cliches.

"Shamelessly ducking".....when a specific fight doesn't happen quickly enough for the posters liking (its always "shamelessly"!!)

"A disgrace to the sport"......usually when a boxer has incurred a minor infraction in a 12 round title fight during which he has beaten the posters favourite fighter.

    :?

wonder why most of the commentator ones sound a lot like jim watt

the worst one is "if you don't land punches your never going to win!"

i really don't think people would have realised that if it wasn't pointed out

    Yeah that's a good un:good

Love to hear someone say: "I don't want to take anything away from (opponents name), so I won't. He is just better than me, and there is nothing I could do in there to change that."

Pacquaio Hatton was an absolute farce for that

Mayweather was such a twat it made even Roach appear as a no nonsense trainer whos not interested in taking credit for his fighter, even though roach is the exact opposite of that

"He was the better man on the night"... implying if it had been any other day, they would have won.
