First off this is a serious question, forget catch weights and belts. Why would GGG be willing to fight Floyd at 154, but not Canelo at 155?
How much money do you think Floyd would pay him as opposed to Canelo? I would guess about the same amount.
Or is it just cause Floyd is a bigger name?
Or is he just full of it and mentions Floyd to create hype?

That's the million dollar question right?

Let me answer in Golovstan though..

"What?!, you're stupid! You're pathetic for asking this! You are a disgrace! You know nothing about boxing! GGG is the most feared man! He'll KO anyone between 154-200 lbs!! Canelo is a yellow! Lara is a bum comapred to Wade! Ward is a coward!:twisted:

Is it the million dollar question? Meeting Floyd at 154 is meeting in the middle, a Welterweight and a Middleweight. Try not to pretend you dont know what weight Canelo bulks up to from 155 for a second and accept that this 155 thing is not anything like meeting in the middle this whole thing just gains weight advantages for Canelo over his opponent.

But GGG haters like to not mention how big Canelo fights at.

Floyd from Welter vs GGG from Middle if they met in the middle to make it as fair as possible is at 154. GGG from Middle vs Ward from Super Middle would meet at 164 to make it fair.

GGG from Middle vs Canelo from Middle at a weight of 155 is not meeting in the middle. Canelo at 155 on fight night is as big if not bigger than GGG is at 160 on fightnight. Both over 170. So the only reason for making GGG drop 5 pounds is not to make it even in any way it is to disrupt his training regime, to change how he is normally. GGG at 160 has no weight advantage over a 155 Canelo so why on earth should GGG drop 5 pounds to give his opponant an advantage?

And Brandon Rios goes up to 175.

Canelo has never fought at the 160 limit, some select people were throwing a fit so he dumped that joke of a title and asks, whats the next excuse now?

Canelo didnt have to fight at the limit. Had he done 155 and GGG 160 they wouldnt weigh any different on the night. Why drag GGG down? Cuz the Mexican makes more money?

As a baxing fan, you make sense. But from the "A-side/B-side" perspective, it doesn't. Team GGG should have called his bluff on the 155. This whole thing is a mess and I'm surprised there isn't a Canelo/GGG trash receptacle in this forum like there was for May/Pac.

    1. Floyd is an ATG, Canelo is not even close and I doubt will ever be
    2. Floyd is a WW, while Canelo is above JMW
    3. Floyd PPV would definitely make significantly more money, and Golovkin's share would be higher than vs Canelo.

Because Floyd would enter the ring at around 154-157, whereas Canelo would be upwards of 175 and GGG isn't man enough to give up weight against a top opponent, when he finally fights one. And the pay day would be better also.

Floyd has an 0, he is like a virgin that you would make a sacrifice for. Canelo is like a short fat hairy Mexican ****, you're not going to go out of your way for somebody's leftovers. And when that **** starts making demands, you just laugh at her.
