    Though its probably genetic, it should be noted the the town he came from relied heavily on coal mining as a source of income for its residents.
    Apparently there was an increase in industrial illness related to coal mining when it really started taking off in this town. Mexborough in merry old England was the place.

    Hypertension is one of the main health problems related to coal mining, for miners and people who live near the mines..and high blood pressure is a major cause of hair loss in a lot of people.
