Great great fight. I was there and I Certainly had Crolla down by a few rounds going into the round he won. Could see the tide turning (as expected) though. Gonna watch it back on Sky in a minute. On a side note, to whoever just said he seems like a nice bloke....... The lads a gent. Proper nice lad
Cheers. Personally agree with Gray's card although I had him 3 up I think. No way was Murray 5 ahead, ridiculous. Then again it is Dave Parris so nobody should be surprised.
Huge mistake. Abril would take Crolla to school. Fair play to Crolla though - I really thought Murray would walk through him. It'd be interesting to see him fight Mitchell. That'd tell us a lot more about where his career is headed.
Dave Parris wants shooting. If that had gone the distance and Crolla didn't take it I'd have hit the ****ing roof.
Met him after Froch/Groves, comes across as a great lad. Definitely one of the most exciting fighters in the country at the minute, rarely if ever in a dull fight.
I am NYC boy,and on a Friday afternoon while walking down 7th Ave and 52nd,in front of the Sheraton Hotel an English Dude stops me and asks directions to Times Square.I told him to look to his right and there it is(only 4 city blocks away). He laughs and I ask him is he visiting the city and he tells me he is there to catch his friend(Murray) fight at the Gardens the next night.I tell him I am going to the fights with my buddies to catch Cotto and he tells me he is Anthony Crolla,a fighter from the UK.We have a nice conversation and as a boxing fan,I tell him I have heard of him but never seen him fight.I have since watched all his fights streaming them. I have to say he is one of the nicest and humble guys I have met and wish him nothing but continued success. I caught his fight Saturday and he looked great after a tough start.Class all the way!:good
Agree with all here, great fighter who is never in a dull fight and comes across really well. Becoming a big fan myself. Would love to see him go in with Mitchell next.
This doesn't suprise me, the early rounds really could have gone either way and I had a hard time splitting them. I think I had it 6 rounds to 3 in favour of crolla but if I watched it again it might change slightly. Another point id like to make, if murray had a few more rounds under his belt before taking this fight I reckon he would have had a better chance and wouldn't have been stopped. I still think if after a few more fights he fought crolla again, the result could go the other way.
