Does anyone on here know what the latest is with Anthony Joshua? Eddie tweeted earlier today staying there was "a slight delay as we finalise contracts" whilst Matchroom Boxing tweeted saying "news to follow in coming days". Has someone turned the fight down or is there another reason?

Everything seems pretty tight lipped at the moment. I'd imagine we should have something by Friday

Martin is a good fight. If AJ wins then he can hide behind the belt and gain experience. At the moment, nothing stops him from the big fights. If he's the champ then he can avoid his toughest opponents in Wilder, Fury etc. When those fights to become bigger he'll claim the bigger piece of the pie as a champion and draw.

They want Martin because he's an easy touch and they can sit on the belt like Wilder has but make more money from ppv. I hope Martin doesn't bite.

Povetkin would pump that cherry.. I can't see Joshua making 20-0 now after stepping up against Dillian Whyte.. there's too many Furys and Povetkins out there..

1st southpaw Joshua faces in pro ranks and he is:

Tall, which will negate Joshuas reach.

Left handed which is awkward for any orthodox fighter.

Heavy handed which means a chance of a one punch ko.

Confident, which means a whole heap mentally.

Wanting to prove he deserves the title.

This fight will be interesting...but I'd predict that Joshua will be taken deep into places where he will sink or swim.

Martins footwork and movement is terrible, easy nights work once AJ works him out

So David Haye has just said on Twitter that it's Charles Martin Joshua is fighting, not sure how he knows but I can't see the April 9th undercard being that great now as I'm sure Mattin is charging a fortune to come over

Agreed, as soon as AJ opens up, it's lights out for Martin, people need to watch some of Martin's fights he's been very lucky to get where he is and that's why he's cashing out against Joshua.
