I think he looks very good for his age. He's what, 23? Most heavyweights these days aren't reaching their prime until their early 30s, so he potentially has 10 years to learn and improve until he peaks. Considering where he's at right now and all the opinions that he's a hard worker, if he works with the right trainer, I think he'll develop into a terrific pro.

It's early in his career but I'm optimistic about him. Everyone is raving about Price at the moment, and rightly so, but Cammarelle beat Price whereas Joshua beat Cammarelle. I think that says something about where Joshua is at right now and gives us some indication of his potential in the future.

6"6 18 stone, runs 100m in 11s. Got to the final of the Worlds, lost by 1 point in the guy's back yard (although in all fairness I thought he lost by more) has only had 35-40 amateurs, lost to Dillian Whyte, got the best of Fury in a spar a few years ago, my trainer knows him, says he's been offered all the gold in the world to go pro.

Anthony Joshua reminds me of a Heavyweight version of Amir Khan.

I saw Whyte sparring a few weeks ago at the Seni Expo. Didn't know what to make of him. He's definitely talented and can punch no question about that. But both these guys are young. Great to see athletic heavys back on the scene. Exciting times! :happy

Not really true at all, Dillian had fought in mixed martial arts quite a lot and had spared with good pros at the time hadn't he?

Boxing is a bit different to MMA you cannot kick or choke your opponent.(unless youre Chisora)
He sparred with the pros after he was forced to turn professional by BBBoC after only 7 or so amateur fights because they said he had fought for money as an MMA fighter- real shame as he was lined up to fight Anthony Joshua again.

It is still fighting experience, he was the experienced fighter, fighting the novice in Joshua.

Don't get me wrong I really like Dillian, he seems like a great lad who will do well in boxing. I actually think he could beat Towers already.

Turnining from MMA to Boxing takes alot of adjustment-in terms of Boxing experience Anthony Joshua was far more experienced and had more fights as a Boxer when Dillian beat him.

I agree i think Dillian could beat Towers.

I spoke to Dillian on his facebook and he said he was a kick-boxer. Not MMA.

Nailed on for gold for me.

    Get your money on it.

You know how the home crowd play a part in scoring, even with his talent, this will help.

Yeah that's true. Dillian looks decent, although his technique on the left hook is horrible and needs a lot of work.

Joshua...as I've said before, is exciting but very raw and with question marks over his chin. The most pleasing thing is the progress and the fact that he seems to want to learn and is dedicated, and with novice guys who show some natural talent, the improvements can be very very quick.

Watching Eubank Jr from 2 years ago to now is like two different people. Joshua has quick hands for someone his size and a good jab. I think his power is overrated as of now, but it is something that he can improve on as he gets more experience and works on technique.

Likewise the chin issues might be less of a concern as he matures and fills out, as he looks to me like he will become more heavyset naturally. Stamina is not really there from what I saw in the worlds...but once more that's not an area that he will struggle to work on.

Some are overhyping him, but then others are dismissing him already (as is typical in Britain) whereas the reality is more in the middle. He doesn't stand out as a talent in the way Khan or Gavin did, but he does look more naturally suited to the pro game than either of those two did as amateurs.
