You should spend more time thinking abouty what you are going to do to him, and less time worrying about what he could do to you. Once you perfect your defensive skills the nervousness will probably go away.

The nervousness never completely goes away. And it shouldn't, there should always be a part of you that is a bit nervous before a bout.

I feel like anyone under the max age allowed that is using age as a reason for not joining a gym and at least trying is just making excuses. If it's something that you really want to do and you are under 35 (in America) then you really don't have an excuse for not at least trying it out once.

Hell, Kathy used to spar with Bob and competed in several karate tournaments and she was in her mid-50's.

if this is your first fight, then theres not too much you can do except getting through it and do the best you can. it that is enough to win, good. if not, dont worry. you do better next time.

either you are confident in what you are doing or not.

sounds a bit hard, but thats the way it is.

here it shows how cool you really are

I feel too old to start boxing and I'm only 19 lol... It's kind of hard knowing that 8 year old kids have been doing it longer than you. I really wish I had started when I was really young...
