Most of them are just 20something newbies to the sport. Guys who think they know what they are talking about who really don't. They are just bandwagon riders. A guy has a goose egg and he's some kind of mr.incredible. They look at a guy like Margarito and say the guy sucks because he isn't flashy and he has losses on his record. They don't understand how difficult it is to deal with a guy like Margarito. They make it sound like he's so easy to beat. "All you need is decent footspeed and handspeed" :patsch As if everyone Margarito faced lacked these attributes.

Santos and Williams might be "B" level guys. But the fact is that both of them absorbed a tremendous amount of punishment from Margarito to pull those wins out. And from what we can see about Williams so far he is anything but glass jawed.

Cotto can win but to say this is a walkover is nonsense. They'll see the error of their ways come fight time.

    You wanna see the tapes?

I got the mother ****in tapes.

Clottey was even more one dimensional then Margarito.

Clottey can only fight on the inside, his boxing ability is almost nonexistant, and it took him 7 rounds to learn that Margarito was lunging in with his right hand and to take advantage of it with an uppercut.

Even then, Margarito managed to adjust and take him out of his game plan.

    You want the link?

Watch it again before you talk this bull****. The only thing Clottey was doing was throwing punches in spurts and while he won 3 or 2 of the first 4 rounds he did so on the inside, but Margarito actually adjusted and started fighting Clottey at a range where he could land his punches.

And don't even give me that bull**** excuse about Clottey's left hand. He's not a volume puncher and he was throwing triple left hooks in the 8th round with plenty on them.

Hurting your hands is what happens when you elect to have the gaurd that Clottey did and get punched in your hands over 1000 times.

I think Williams is just a bad style for Margarito. He's long and fast, and Margarito is too tall to avoid his punches effectively and not as fast as someone like Cotto at closing the distance.

Williams also showed up that night and looked like spectacular boxer. I suppose you could attribute his win to Margarito starting slow and more reluctant to absorb punshiment, and the possiblity that he overlooked his opponent, but I don't know if any version of Margo could beat that version of P-Will.

However, I don't know if we'll ever see that version of P-Will again. 147 might be too hard on his body.

Tony can beat Williams. The problem was just that they tried to knock him out. I do not see anyone at 147 knocking Williams out. He took flush punches from both Margarito and Quintana and was still standing. And some of them were flush on the point of the jaw. He's just so big at welter he's going to be impossible to KO.

If they end up rematching Tony has to match him punch for punch. Instead of trying to knock him out he just has to use his ring experience and fight in volume. He'll outclass Williams with that strategy. I have no doubts about it.

Complete bull****. PBF won't adjust to Margo and throw 70-80 punches a round he's never done that. What he will do is limit Margo's production and cut it by atleast half like he does against everyone else. Margo's connect percentage will be below 20% against PBF. PBF will have Margo looking sick taking him out of his game while he's swinging at air and plodding around the ring trying to to follow PBF around getting picked apart by getting countered and beaten to the punch. People thought Hatton's pace would bother PBF it did for about 3 rounds until he figured him out and went to work Margo would be no different and it would be even worse for Margo because he's a slower starter and he can't close the distance like Hatton could. So at the end you're left with a bad defense slow plodder with a good chin and ineffective pressure being neutralized by an elite defensive counter-puncher that will win by near shut out. Same old PBF and like Lampley says "the safest bet in sports is PBF by UD".:deal

No ****, Einstein! You figured that one all by yourself? I'm impressed. :nut

Had you cared to check my recent posts, I pointed as well to Cotto's propensity to bend over to set up the overhand right hand. Also mentioned that his timing was off a couple of times against Mosley who nailed him with the uppercut.

A few posts earlier, in a thread in which Cotto's weaknesses were assessed, I indicated that such mistakes can turn costly against Margarito who relies a lot on the uppercut and - yes - has a very good one.

A con which nonetheless will be outweighed by: (1) Cotto's jab (which proved effective against Mosley and should be even more effective against the somewhat porous defense of Margarito); (2) Cotto's body shots after leading with the jab; (3) Cotto's ability to move around the ring quicker than Margo.

Clottey ain't Cotto, even more so with half of his arsenal damaged. That's self-evident, only piece of **** ignorantus troglodytes of your category can't figure that.

Won't bother reading further, your antics and girlish tantrums aren't worth the bandwidth you're wasting here.

    Consider yourself ignored.

Have a goodday, you sick ****. :hi:

Nah, Ziggy, you got burned in this ****. Margarito ain't entirely skilled, but the mother ****er is big, strong, and relentless.

You just don't factor that kinda **** in your "analysis."

Wrong. I mentioned more than once on other threads that Margo is big and tough and relentless.

I still don't see him beat Cotto and the outcome of the fight will prove me right.

All you do is talk little *****, Say HOW instead for once. HOW will Floyd, who doesn't throw as much as he used to, or move as much as he used to, limit how many punches Margarito throws? Because he did so with Hatton?

You're a dumb**** who thinks Floyd can look like he did @ 130 & 135 anytime he wants. He's changed little boy...time to do some homework for once.

I had Oscar beating Void. However, Oscar will beat Void in the rematch even more convincingly.

Void has been running from Margarito for a long time now.

****ing hilarious! You say nothing you can't refute anything in my post so in typical fashion you resort to name calling and calling me a child. I clearly explained to you how he will limit Margo's workrate and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out. Margo has to set his feet to get off he has a high workrate when he's fighting someone who stands right in front of him and is there to be hit. Against PBF who will be moving and fighting off of his backfoot not to mention who has excellent defense his workrate will drop off tremendously. He doesn't have the jab, handspeed or footspeed or footwork needed to be effective against that style.:deal

I gotta disagree with you about this.

I've seen Margarito throw right hands with his backfoot dragging behind him. I've also seen him throw left hooks before resetting his backfoot after a right cross.

Granted that might not be a very hard punch but it's a punch anyways. If he sees a chance to land he'll throw a punch even without having his feet set.
