A few years ago yes but not now.

His best chance is for an early KO IMO but he doesn't have the gas to keep the pressure he'll need to apply for more than 5 or 6 rounds now judging by his recent performances.

    I pick Khan TKO 6.

Gomez has a slim chance but it is a very small window of opportunity in the first two rounds to brawl Khan out of there, but he has to do it before he starts to blow. I take Khan very early KO.

I think Gomez will go all out at him. If Khan can not keep Gomez off him then Gomez could strike lucky but which ever way it goes I can not see it going past the 6th round.

Gomez may not be the best boxer Khan has faced but he certainly is one of the few that is coming to try and take Khan head on instead of running.

I can't see Gomez doing it, but your right in what you say about what he will bring to the ring:good

It should be entertaining while it lasts.

Yep. It should be entertaining. I hope Gmez has enough left to make it competative, he is definetly a different type of fighter to most previous opponents. Nice to see Khan facing an aggresive fighter who will be preperred to get in close and cause Khan trouble.

I agree- Spot on analysis! Short of Romanov its as fine a match up that can realistically be put together.

What was wrong with Gavin Rees? He is the right oponent at this stage of Amirs career, a real test. KOing Gomez means less than KOing Earl.
