    Yep. Gave us some fantastic fights, not least the Ward trilogy, but he was completely shot and it's sad to see such a warrior get beat up in the ring. He deserves to enjoy retirement for the entertainment he's provided over the years. :good

    I got alot of respect for Arturo Gatti but I hope he does'nt make it in the Hall of Fame because he is'nt worthy of that, but to answer your question yes I'm happy he decided to keep his word and retire.

    Gatti should be sectioned if he ever tries to get in the ring again.
    He should've retired after PBF. That was as sound a beating i've seen in a long time.

    ya know? for along time i would argue with people like you about whether he was worthy for the hall of fame or not ... but now i believe it ..i don't think he should be introduced either .. no where near as credible enough

    but if quarry is in there i think gatti should be considered if anything at least a little

    me. for the good of his health, it was long overdue. we dont need to see anymore broken down ex champs.
