If Arce loses now his #1-spot at the WBC by winning the worthless interim version of the WBA mini papertitle, he has to fight and beat Nashiro to become WBA's mandatory challenger for the WBA superchampion. And the WBA superchampion has 18 months for his mandatory defense since his win of the super champion title. Arce gains his championship belt? Well, this belt is absolutely worthless and may took his chance away to get a rematch with Mijares.
If anything, Nonito has been a tad bit too inactive (okay understatement of the year) for me to say that anyone is ducking anyone.
Concepcion can easily be stopped, this is just a fighter who tries to pressure an opponent while he can, only which Banal couldn't handle. That shows the huge caliber difference between Arce and Banal. The latter simply needs courage and heart facing the likes of Concepcion. What more can Banal show if he decides to go a different level? Too bad some thought of him having good potential in this sport. This filipino fighter badly needs to polish of himself. Way to go on Arce, I too agree if he fights Donaire first before taking on Mijares again. I believe Arce could stop Mijares next time around IMO. :good
Arce and Darchi would be interesting too. Donaire and Montiel. Winner can face Mijares. Dang, this division is hot.
Darchinyan and Arce was THE fight before both of the fell against superior technical opposition. With Mijares taking on (and probably out) Darchinyan, I'd like to see Arce-Montiel to clean things up a bit more.
