    A great fighter by any standards. Just imagine if he'd come along,say,forty years after he did. Getting all the good breaks early,and not having to fight for chump change at too short notice. He would've been even greater than he was ! Imagine bouts with Foster,Spinks et al.

    he wouldn't have been able to mature his craft like he did if he came along that way.... all the waiting, the fights to build his name, those experiences and battles made him the fighter he was IMO. It would have been amazing to see him at the championship level in his prime, but even then i imagine his bouts with charles and the row were already incredible as is

    Good post,Swarmer :good How do you reckon Archie would have done against Bob Foster and Michael Spinks ?

    Can anyone tell me about Archie's biographies and would they recommend them?
