According to boxrec, Chris Arreola is going to fight Jameel McCline in April. Thoughts on this fight?

McCline is hard to predict. He's good when you expect him to suck and sucks when you expect him to be good. Look at his fights with Peter and Valuev as examples. Still, Arreola will have him out of there between 3 and 6 rounds.

A logical step up for Arreola. Travis Walker and Chazz Witherspoon were decent tests, but McCline has the experience of going rounds with Wlad, Peter, Bryd and Ruiz among others, representing exposure to a good variety of styles. Arreola should be in better shape than he has been lately, because Mcline ususally doesn't get stopped.

McCline has not won a meaningful fight in years. The only fight he has looked good in was against the no skilled Sam Peter. Easy fight for Arreola.

McCline is durable enough that he could really extend Arreola, but his stamina is so poor i doubt he'll be able to exploit Chris' own late round fatigue.

I like this fight. This is a perfect fight for Arreola to get ready for Wlad or Vitali.

I think Arreola can beat him. I don't think he will knock him out tho.

    Arreola UD.

That makes sense. The only fight he's looked good in is against the no skill sam peter so it's an easy fight for the fat guy who is universally considered to be "a poor man's sam peter"

I think Chris by either late round stopage (more of McCline running out of gas than getting knocked out) or UD. I expect McCline to come out strong and win the first couple of rounds, but if he doesn't KO Chris early he'll gas like always.

I think McCline is a great option for anyone who might take on the Klitschkos, because there are precious few fighters that big who are world class. Getting experience against a giant who has skills but is beatable is a great idea before challenging the very hard-to-beat Klitschkos.

I am thinking the same thing. Of course you never know if McCline will "stress" himself out and let a fight slip away.

Arreola is better than Peter. Peter was overrated here for a few reason(s):

#1. people thought he was going to get rid of Wlad Klitschko

#2. he was knocking out C and D level fighters he has not KOed anyone with a pulse besides Glass Jaw Maskaev

#3. He was going to get rid of Vitali Klitschko

Peter is horrible. He has no skill at all. He was fed a bunch of Glass Jawed C and D level fighters and people here bought into the hype when he was KOing them. Well, it turns out Peter's power is overrated also because he has no KOed anyone of note in his career. Not to mention he quit on his stool against a guy that had not fought in 4 years and had MULTIPLE injuries.
