From 10 hours ago, Press Telegram:

They didn't date the AWOL episode, and it sounds like it was a week or two ago by the tone of the article... but going AWOL from training when you are stepping up from top 50 type of guys to the champion?

It makes me wonder of he has already lost in his mind. This may turn out to be a replay of the Kirk Johnson fight.

I sure hope not. I want to see a competitive, exciting fight! I figure Klitschko wins via horrendous sustained beating resulting in a TKO as long as Arreola is at least game.

It sounds like it's from this week based on the note about the fight being this Saturday unless this writer decided to sit on the story and wait to publish it.

It's amazing how Arreola can keep his Adonis-like physique while skipping out on training sessions.

Seriously, is it any surprise that this fat tub of lard is not 100% dedicated?

I think that is the case.

Here's what Kevin Iole has to say:

His own people are claiming a great success because he "only" skips training less than he used to in the camp for his first title shot? When he has never faced a top 20 fighter?

    Now that is dedication.

Some people say Arreola would never look muscular, no matter how hard he trains - bull****!
Let him eat the same stuff the Klits eat (no burritos and tecate), let him work out as hard as they do - for a whole year - and he could probably enter a Mexican bodybuilding competition.
Of course the Klitschkos have great genetics (especially Wlad), but their bodies are mostly results of hard work and absolute discipline.

I'm calling a corner stoppage in this one. VK by TKO anytime before RD 9.

If I was in his corner and this guy is skipping out on training sessions, I would not stop it. I'd make him quit on his own, or stand in there and take his beating until the ref stops it. Skipping out on training sessions is disrespectful to your trainer, why should that same trainer show any courtesy by quitting for him.

I'm not a Vitali fan by any means, but I want him to win this fight principly because Arreola's dedication - or lack of - annoys me. He doesn't seem to have much respect or commitment towards the support, so he doesn't deserve to win a world title, nor will he on Saturday. Klitschko rounds 3-6.

the guy used to weigh around 235 for fights , now he is too lazy to even make it to 245 .... he is going to take a beating on Saturday.

yep .. I mean, Arreola keeps talking about how he is fighting for the Mexican and Mexican-American people, and all this crap... he seems like a good guy, but by not taking your training serious you are showing how much you truly care about all of those who support you.

This kind of information 'leak' has become very common in the buildup to this fight. Is it intentional or is it just blatantly out in the open? Usually the camps work very hard to keep problems like this secret. His ass should have been holed up in a compound where he wouldn't even have the option to disappear.

It would be a pleasant surprise if this was just bull****, but sadly I think it's true after seeing pictures of Arreola at public events.

I've never liked Arreola and he will be getting his ass handed to him on Saturday. Terrible dedication and he has done nothing to restore the division.
