They clearly said the ref's are instructed to NOT stop a fight simply based on a towel coming in the ring.. He didn't know where it came from.
How can you say it was the wrong decision when the corner denied it? He made the perfect decision because 99% of referees would have accepted it but the reason you shouldn't, it because of what happened tonight. It may not always be the cornerman! As soon as the corner came into the ring, he spoke to them and decided the fight should go on. Fantastic refereeing.
Merchante was correct not to stop the fight seeing that Foreman's corner wasn't the one that threw in the towel. Now go kill yourself.

The corner denied they threw the towel. Case closed. Foreman is not really that hurt. It's just a knee.
I hope to god this is not serious. It was one of the best ref jobs I have seen, its about time a ref had some balls and actually took control.
There's a difference between being twatted and having your head rocked back every 10 seconds, like Angulo/Yorgey, and having a knee injury but putting up a very brave fight. Had that fight been stopped, it would have been a farce. Look at Foreman's face as the towel comes in. He knew it wasn't right and his own corner thought so too.
