Arthur is finished at the top level imo, there was no snap in his punches last night. maybe 135 is a problem, but going up to 140 still won't help him.
Really proud of young Appleby, he has clearly worked hard on the defence coz when he was flooring his opponent he kept that right hand nice and high (he did it with his trademark left to the body) Well done young fella and hopefully talk soon. ps, it was the only KO of the night if memory serves
Arthur looked good too and he wouldnt leave ringside til he watched young Paul in his fight then they both left together
I just reckon his work was neater when he applied it. He has a great boxing brain but I also reckon he looked tiny compared to McDonugh in there last night. ps, anyone got any footage of the arthur and Appleby bouts coz I'd love to see them again and listen to the interviews etc
Brief bit on the undercard here: http://news.boxrec.com/news/2010/kelvin-hall-undercard-holds-no-real-surprises-does-please-crowd I actually thought McDonagh could pull off the surprise...that's how far back I think Arthur has gone. Won comfortably enough on the cards but apparently struggled a bit.
