Sexton's opponent has one of the most deceiving records I have seen - his record 17-7-1, which looks pretty good, apart from the fact he has lost to any fighter with a winning record by knockout...in fact it is even worse than that, he hasn't beat a fighter that has won a single fight!

Pires defeated opponents combined records: 0-16 :-(

Completely taking the **** when Sexton, who is a touted prospect in the flyweight division, is fighting this guy in his 8th fight.

Usman Ahmed fought for the British title in his 8th fight, which shows the state the division is in domestically, yet Sexton is still being matched with pushovers, when a title shot is there for him to take.

Despite Zeller's record being full of fighters with very poor records he's not actually that bad. He struggles badly with big fighters like Kretschmann and Fury, hence why he was picked as a Fury opponent so earlier in Fury's career.

But he did some against Koc that he has some ability and is potentially a dangerous fight for a small heavyweight to take that isn't able to keep him at range with their monstrous size. He can genuinely punch too.

I'll put it like this, I'd fancy him to beat Bobby Gunn and Bobby Gunn has had two title fights at Cruiserweight..............

Sexton needs fights no matter the opposition at the moment. We have very few domestic fighters at the moment and it is unlikely his promoter will bring in anyone who could cause a problem or have punch with so little knowledge of these guys about. Sexton for his best interests should move to the states if he wants to be a top class fighter, all he is being built up to be at the moment is an ok domestic/Euro standard title contender.

Is it time that some of the journeymen that have been losing - and not even competing - for a very long time lost their licences?

Peter Buckley was a bit of a joke opponent by the end, Karl Taylor couldn't beat an egg anymore and Delroy Spencer has always been awful.

If you get rid of some of the dead wood, and imposed a form of quality control on European journeymen, you would see proper fights being made.

I fail to see how a young fighter can learn anything against that kind of opponent - whereas matching him with a guy like Ahmed would benefit both guys.

Nah the fight needs the journeymen in the sport. Not every new prospect is that good but they still need opponents and guys like Buckley gave em rounds which is important.
