the average person on the street would automatically associate martial arts with asia. i'm wondering why there doesn't seem to be that many asian fighters around? well, in strikeforce and ufc anyway. obviously pride had a good amount at the time. is it just because asians in general are usually lighter and smaller than a lot of other races? mind you i have seen some big japanese fighters from the past.

aoki is the best p4p female fighter ever. japs mostly fight in japan, thais mostly fight in thailand. there are lots of great asian fighters though.

UFC arent very asian friendly, this is because Zuffa's main viewer demographic is white American red necks. Having too many international fighters and especially too many asians simply wont appeal to these viewers. UFC therefore really concentrate on having American up and comers. UFC also wont appeal to many fighters because most of UFC's fights and bases are in America.
