Why cant he fight like this in every fight? Look how he comes out thowing punches in the 1st round! He could have been one of the best heavyweights in the world! such a wasted talent.

Having the heart of a fighter is something you either have or do not.
Audley never had the heart of a fighter and he never will- that is why the public got so angry at him. A fraud is a fraud.

I would have more repsect for Audley right now, if he just retired and admitted he was never a fighter. Rather than cycnically fighting on for his pension fund, like he is now.

A brain and courage as well might help.....

Maybe if he had the Wizard of Oz in his corner, he would be unbeatable!

I have been on the Audley bashing bandwagon as keenly as the next man but I just have a feeling that if he were to go in against a top 10 Heavyweight he would win provided he was as fit as he can be and has conviction in his ability to box and move. I just think the better the opposition, the better he will perform but then I could be wrong!

Exactly! When he fought sprott he underperformed (although he got caught by a lucky punch) because he was not fighting a top opponent. But when he was fighting Bonin, a top quality operator, he beat him up over 9 rounds until he decided to finish the job, this is why Bonin got beat in the 1st round in the Haye fight because Audley took a lot out of Bonin in this beat down.

So i believe if Audley gets to fight someone like Tony Thompson it would bring the best out of him!

To be fair though, Danny had 7 days' notice but had been training for 8 weeks to fight Scott Gammer, was in much better shape (21 pounds less) than from his previous fight against Skelton and was full of confidence after beating Audley the first time.

No-one, well, no-one apart from possibly Kosaros expected Harrison to demolish him in 3. It's easy to criticize Audley, he makes it so damn easy, but on that night at least he brought the goods.

And unless something drastically changes, it'll be one of his only highlights too.

Enough of this. Audley can not take a top 10 heavyweight, he has not done anything in his professional career ever, to suggest this.
