Average height/weight class?

    Anyone got any statistics from last Olympics, last worlds, euros etc?

    What relevance do you think it has? You get all shapes in the same weight class, against certain fighters shorter guys might do better than taller guys and vice versa.
    Look at the top performers... I'd say 75kg around 6', 81kg maybe 6'1, 91kg around 6'2...From what I can see (and I watch alot of amateur boxing) height doesn't change much in these divisions, guys are just stockier as you go up each weight division.
    Skills do the business and you want to be strong for your weight class, I don't think height matters much at all these days what with the more of an emphasis on inside fighting.

    What relevance? I just asked the average height for the weight classes, I didn't say anything more than that!
    Thanks for the reply. I noticed that myself, the lighter guys are tall and skinny, the heavier ones aren't vastly taller.
