That Was A Terrible Stoppage.. Cortes Wasnt Even Taking Any Hard Punches And Had Still Been Trying To Defend Himself And Fight Back And Knew Where He Was..

Not To Mention Kirkland Threw An Illegal Punch When Cortes Was Down And The Ref Said Nothing..

    Definite Hometown Bull**** Goin On..

Not To Mention As Well That Kirkland Was Wobbled In The 1st Round ...

Terrible stoppage. And Kirkland is exciting but very beatable. Almost like a turbo Lacy -- aggressive and intimidating but almost too eager and open to punches.

And that ref S-U-C-K-E-D ass. Kirkland could have kicked Cortes in the head and that ref wouldn't have done anything.

I agree 100%. I love how stupid ass Atlas n Kenney didn't even acknowledge the fact that Kirkland was hurt twice. That ref was garbage... warns Cortez for leaning on Kirkland in the clinch, but ignores the fact that Kirkland blatenly hit Cortez when he was down. I love boxing, but this **** is getting rediculous.

That guy was lucky the ref stopped it. He was on his way to getting his lights put out. Kirkland doesn't **** around. Personally, I'm dissapointed that the ref robbed the fans of another Kirkland highlight reel knockout.

The stoppage was a tad early, but they're have been MUCH worse ones. It was all academic anyway. Cortes was gonna be out in another couple of seconds. It wasnt the worst stoppage ever. Not even close!

Thats not the point.. most people are probably in agreement that Kirkland would have won anyways but it was a terrible terrible time to stop it.. both men were fighting together... and he still had his coherence intact.. could have waited honestly... and in boxing who knows what can happen..
