The Cruz VS Casamayor decision was total crap. Casamayor should have points deducted for low blows and holding. Casamayor turned the fight into a boring event. I had Cruz ahead by 8 or so rounds. Can anybody please help me understand how Cruz ended up on the wrong end if the score cards?
Yeah true this. Casamayor has slipped bigtime since I last saw him fight. I was commentating to my mates during the fight that this was an old man at 60 odd percent of his former ability.
Casamayor would struggle to beat most of the top ten lightweight contenders with that perfomance, definite rip off.
I was watching with some new found mates and we all had Santa Cruz easily by a few rounds. I went for a smoke saying "I'll believe it when I see it". Saw the decision while outside and sauntered in saying "...well there you go...". Its **** like this that sent me away from boxing for nearly a decade.
I had Cruz ahead by 8 because of the poor tatics of Casamayor...loads of holding and spoiling and no punching.....this is a farce...maybe goldenboy promontions have their hand in the till again.
Easy - because there are people out there that thought Mosley beat Cotto, those sort of people become judges and then hey presto - crappy, bizarre decisions
Think it is time for Mike Katsidis to put this old man to sleep once and for all, he was screwed over in a few fights but god knows how he could put the belt around him after a shocking outcome to that fight HE LOST EASILY. TIME TO FACE THE GREAT
Judging like that in the Cruz - Casa fight is what's killing boxing as a mainstream sport. Boxing is now more of a sideshow act these days to the general public.
