Getting hurt or Dazed is not enough to stop a fight thats the nature of the sport.Manfredo had his hands up ducking and at the end trying to hold you dont have to return fire when you are rocked,you need time to clear your head -thats what he was doing,But the ref thought he wasnt able to protect himself?!Bad stoppage.

same ref that let Margo take the unnescessary beating against Pac after the 10th. i think he may have been thinking about the criticism he got from that fight.
I think the refs and the judges need continous training. The need to meet several times a year to watch fights, discuss situations, rules and laws, fighters and boxing in general. Maybe some of these shady calls will stop.:bbb:bbb:bbb
Cole was itching to stop that fight from the opening bell. As soon as Manfredo was in any sort of trouble, you knew it was over. I would have liked to have seen another round.
Be serious. Manfredo hadn't thrown a single punch in at least 10 seconds. He didn't try to hold until after the Ref began the stoppage. And worst of all, just before the ref stepped in, Manfredo lower his head, BELOW Chavez' waist. - That's supposed to result in an automatic DQ. (look it up) THAT'S why Cole stopped it. Maybe it should have been a standing 8, but was that rule in effect? If not, then the ref did the proper & legal thing.
Cole appears to be a crooked referee. It so appears he was protecting Chavez. Cole is the worst referee in boxing, by far!
