Bad training habits

    Not eating prior to training

    Eating too soon before training

    Not warming up/ cooling down

    Any others?

    doing long sessions without enough intensity ie standing round chatting

    :rofl I got yelled at by my trainer for this. Told me to work hard or leave the gym.

    well at least hes telling you! i mean i always work harder when i have someone pushing me its almost an ego arrogance thing for example i go to a circuit training class which is open to all fitness levels but is a fantastic workout if you do everything your told too and dont slack off. And i have to beat everyone in there almost like im showing off but at the end of the day i dont care whatever works for motivation! When training on my own at home i try and turn off all distractions too.

    Its not a major thing but its worth considering that not only are you not working hard enough with enough intensity when you do this but you are also cooling down and if you start back up straight away after a long chinwag or a chat on your mobile lol your asking for a pulled muscle or worse!
