Actually, Sullivan was an Irish American who experienced almost -- but not quite -- as much bigotry as black Americans did. Certainly as much as Italian or Jewish Americans. His brand of racism is par for the course among underprivileged groups, especially in 19th century urban areas. Show contempt for the people who are just that tiny bit worse off than you are, and/or the other equally persecuted groups.
That's because most people have not seen the best female boxers. Like I said earlier. Very few of the best ever turn pro. What few good female boxer there are seldom get on TV.
This is so incredibly true. Bopp, Juarez, Knight, Suarez, McMorrow, Farias, Braekhus, Hammer etc are all as good to watch as many men. This is a "half truth" if you will. In Argentina, in particular, the top female fighters get plenty of TV viewers, funny that Argentina, Mexico, South Korea and Japan seem to be the most progressive countries in terms of female boxing. If you get a chance to tune in to TYC or Publica when a top female fighter is in action you will see packed stadiums and a very genuine interested and educated fan base. Something we don't really see in the US or the UK sadly.
Females are not for boxing. When they fight each other for whatever reason, they don't use their fists like males. I mean they just slap each other. Female boxing is just bull**** IMO.
I tend to agree with Cinderella Man here, Flatty. Regardless of whether or not they've seen the best female boxers, most people I know hardly tune in for most televised boxing as it is. Seeing the best female fighters fight is hardly something that I believe would cause a significant people to start tuning in.
People hardly watch boxing period -- compared to football, basketball, baseball, etc. So ban it. Or you could, you know, let promoters take the risks on whether people are going to buy tickets and TV networks can take the risk on whether they're going to get viewers and let boxing -- male and female -- continue to exist.
It's not a ***ist thing. Womens aren't made for fighting. A woman that acts like a man, is a man. Female boxing is bad for females. And for boxing.
Female boxing shouldn't be banned, if you don't like it don't watch it. I could give a **** about female boxing, but women should be allowed to box.
