i'm sure there were in the early days of film, and illegal fights thereafter too present day. But you'll not find any of the true old bareknuckle greats as film didn't exist.
the only bareknuckle fights are those involving the travellers in england, and it's not pure london rules, just boxing without gloves.
I've seen those, but they use some modern boxing techni. none of the true bareknuckle that I've read or seen some paintes/ pics
and that's what I was trying to convey. the modern bareknuckle fights were not used with the techniques of the time, or the rule set. especially the throws were no longer used. there used to be a group of guys who were trying to recreate the techniques and strategies of the old prize ring based on pictures, and a few claimed to have used the techniques sparring modern amateurs and said that with the right guys with good physical equipment that the techniques could have been effective.
Thanx would like to see those sparring vids. I'm pretty sure a couple of people tried doing some old school bareknuckle techniques while sparring(with gloves of course) I know I have.
