Yep. It was the fight that "made" Barrera, and yet it also exposed him at the same time. That was supposed to be McKinney's last hurrah, although he did come back once more to beat Barrera's conqueror, Jr. Jones.
Great fight, I remember watching it on HBO's first Boxing After Dark broadcast. It was certainly Barrera's introduction to the top of the boxing stage: at the time he was drawing a lot of comparisons to Chavez between that fight and already having an undefeated streak that was somewhere in the 40s, if I'm remembering right. Unfortunately for Marco, his undefeated streak didn't go on much longer.
