basillio vs hurricane carter....

    Carter would be too strong and hit too hard for Carmen.

    Carmen needed a Jr. Middle Division to be established when he was at the end of his career.

    Fullmer respected Basillio, but said he was just too strong for Carmen.

    political bull**** aside, i like carter as a fighter and need to learn more about him. basillio was a touch too small agreed but carter certainly didn't handle a rough, tough (but heavier handed) fighter in tiger too well. if the swarming style of basillio could so frustrate sugar ray (well past prime admittedly) i think it could smother the attacks of a not too slick or mobile carter
