Beibut won every round, nearly stopping Griffin in the opening round, en route to shutting out the former world champion by lop-sided scores of 120-108, 120-108, 120-107. After the fight Griffin, rated No. 22 by the WBA, was taken to the hospital for stitches for a cut over his eye as well as to get his ribs examined after Beibuts devastating body attack.[/FONT]

I find it quite impressive to take on such opposition at such an early time (6th fight, his first 12 rounder was at his 4th fight)

Is there any other famous examples of boxers who were taking on very big opposition or were champions very early in their career?

Peter Rademacher fought Floyd Patterson for the world heavyweight title in his very first pro fight.
