Once Askren gets the fight to the ground, it's over. He floats and rides opponents with ease. I'm no fan, but what he does, he does very well, indeed. He always gets the takedown and, simply put, smothers any offense from his foes while taking no punishment. If, by chance, someone does manage to get back up, they're too exhausted to inflict any damage.
The only reason why his smothering has worked in every fight is because he's never fought anyone with a ground game. Put him in there with Maia and he'd be screwed.
they said that could be his first fight, if he moved over to the UFC. I got a feeling he is going to stay where he is though
