Yeah he could do alright financially with those fights but it's not going to hoodwink people into believing he's a superstar.he will have to at the very least win a world title in very dangerous division first.there's no avoiding it.
Don’t fancy Benn at all against Broner. They’re underestimating him and hoping he’s completely shot. If he can reach 40% of what he was he outclasses Conor.
Ennis and Ortiz Jnr are coming up rapidly and will be ahead of Benn in the queue for a title fight, if it's going to happen the time is now, not that I think it's going to happen as that division is full of guys that I think can beat him, including McKinson who I think would get the job done. I'd have a lot of admiration for Benn if he called out McKinson, after all he did say he was the number one fighter in the UK, it's dicks on the table time.
I think when I say superstar, I mean in this country. I Don't mean like canelo or Joshua. Khan or Brook v benn will be sold out in no time. In terms of popularity he will be one of the most known boxers in the UK. Benn will struggle to win a world title because spence and Crawford are holding the belts. Ugas is the one that is beatable but not at the moment. The next generation have ortiz and ennis. Neither are losing to benn. If benn keeps picking up the wins against these big names he might pick up a vacant belt in 2 or 3 years. It's about timing it against the right opponents.
No chance he is fighting Avanesyan anytime soon. They will wait for him to start fading and then try to beat him.
The Avanesyan fight will happen next year in my opinion. I know a lot on here give him a lot of stick but he’s looked impressive in his last 3 fights and is clearly levels way above where the likes of Broner, Khan/Brook are now. What can’t be denied is that he carries significant concussive power so he’s the potential to be a star. If he takes on Avanesyan after knocking over the winner of Brook/Khan then that to me is a decent bridge maker of a fight before dipping his toe in significantly more difficult water with the elites of the division. None of whom are spring chickens let’s not forget. Which is probably a clever ploy of Hearn’s.
I do not believe that. Eddie Hearn / Matchroom will have patience with Conor Benn so it will be suitable opponents throughout 2022. They stay far away from Avanesyan.
One of the things that makes me question Conor Benn the most is the fact his recent opponents seem to have one thing in common- they are all non punchers. He has to show he can mix it with a come forward pressure fighter who can punch and that he can box on the backfoot effectively if he's going to be competitive (let alone win anything) at world level. He looked impressive on Saturday, and even though I am not a fan and don't rate him too highly, the improvement from his debut to last weekend is immense and deserves some respect as whatever we think of him he has clearly put in a phenomenal amount of work and made sacrifices. Might be in the minority but I would like to see him fight Marku. It's a very winnable fight, against someone who will be hungry, and will come to win. Would be a fun fight, which works for Matchroom too as I don't see it as too much of a risk, but at least there is some intrigue there, Connor will get hit and come under some pressure at times. If not that then Mckinson would be a good test too- a winnable but challenging fight, even though it's a totally different style of course.
Doesn't matter for me...he will meet a banger and go down...that's my gut feeling....there's a reason they are touring guys who are passed it or couldn't knock out a wank. He's improved alot but there's a reason he's after khan ,brook n broner. For me I'd say go avanesyan, Ortiz and Crawford..... May as well go for it.......i think he may just be able to beat avanesyan...but Ortiz will end the hype

He will, but if Khan vs Brook is a great fight, they will meet again in a big stadium event in the summer 2022.
I don't think Brook is capable of a great performance at that weight and I suspect that Khan knows that if it goes past six rounds he can begin to pick Brook off. So in the event that Khan delivers what could look like a masterclass, bashes Brook up badly and takes a late stoppage or a UD I think Benn would have second thoughts. He says he's the best fighter in the UK, he won't fight McKinson despite McKinson not appearing to carry much power. Now if he really thought he was the best in the UK, I'm assuming he means at his weight, then why not fight McKinson in what would be seen as a decent domestic dust up with two 0's on the line. Too risky? Well why say you're the best? McKinson not a big enough name? None of Benn's fans know who Granados was, probably very few knew much about Vargas other than he's the guy Khan beat in second gear. The same for Algieri. If Josh Taylor said "alright, I'll go up to 147, let's have it, England v Scotland, don't give me any BS that you can't market this, 30/70 split in your favour, I don't care" do you think Benn would take it or do you think his Johnson would shrink up?
Still think broner would beat benn. Dont see him facing any sort test or decent puncher for a good while yet
