    benn was dangerous when he had his back to the ropes and started to wind up those left hooks

    everything about benn was electric.he always seemed to be snarling after fights when he was being interviewed.

    He was a monster in the Duran mould (in terms of attitude rather than ability).

    What I'd give for there to be someone like that around now.

    That'll have been down to it being that ***** Newbon interviewing him. Though he was going to twat him one a couple of times.

    british fighters are supposed to be stand up boxers but in turpin,conteh and benn we had vicious *******s to match any.barkley tried lying on the deck but benn wasn't having that

    i remember seeing eubank shinning up a rope in his garden using just his hands.he'd have beaten a squirrel

    So what was the story with Benn against Collins - had Benn's fire gone by this time or was Collins a better fighter ?

    Barkley was a tough f*cker in his own right. There were numerous shots that Benn landed which would have put away many lesser guys and Barkley took them.
