First was a fantastic fight. Forget about the scorecards and the Benn-knockers. He really showed mettle. Peynauds much better than his record suggests too. Looking forward to a fantastic Benn win then its onwards and upwards .... and two fingers to the knockers eh?
I think Benn stops him. Think that first fight he got let off the hook and was a massive wake up call to him. I think people forget he’s only 21 with no real amateur background. It’s ok to learn in these fights.
I have said before but Benn should winn this for more comfortably or he will never make it above British level. Since they fought id bet he has done way more top quality training than Peynaud, who i dont think is even full time is he?
I'm not sure Penyaud is better than his record suggests. Benn should win comfortably this time. He's a full time athlete with backing, with Penyaud is not. If he hasn't improved enough to handle someone of this level then he's in for a real tough career.
I hope this rematch is as good as the first fight! Penyaud came to fight ! One tough cookie! Benn needs to not be so reckless, box clever and keep, his hands up. Looking forward to this fight more than main event lol
I’d tell him to stick behind the jab & coast it comfortably on points. He doesn’t have to try and knock everyone out just to be relevant.
I agree, Benn most likely underestimated Peynaud massively, thought he could blast him out and received a rude awakening. It showed that Benn doesn't have the power he probably thinks he has. Benn should win this time. While I maintain that Benn is not as good as he thinks he is, he gained everyone's respect last time, taking his beating like a man. He was given a massive gift though, it was mathematically impossible for him to win on any reasonable scorer's card.
Good wee fight but your 100% right, never a ppv fight in a million years. Its a good York Hall fight, nothing more.
I read one Matchroom casual on Twitter claim that Benn-Peynaud was one of the greatest fights in recent years.
Yeah I could live with that. But that’s what it is a York hall undercard fight about 7pm when the place is half empty
Benn will win, they are building it as a really really tough fight that Benn didn't have to take but it isn't really that tough, well it shouldn't be. Benn will jab more, move more, basically box more and Sky will lose their minds and say "what an incredibly mature performance, Benn is learning and growing as a fighter" All that rubbish, you know what I mean, then the show will roll on. Personally I'd like to see them stick Benn in with Chris Kongo and if he beats Kongo I'll start taking him a little more seriously.
How highly do you rate Benn? Personally I believe he is a KO waiting to happen, I can't believe the air time and coverage he gets, he just isn't all that. Yeah this could be a good fight, I believe Benn will box this time, use his feet, move a little more and maybe if he lands enough and Paynaud loses control, gets frustrated and starts losing it, I wouldn't be surprised if Benn stopped him or the referee jumping in to "save" Peynaud. It's afterwards and what's next that I'm interested in, what next? who next?
Too small for welterweight and terrible defence, he's already finding his level. He will get badly KO'd if/when he steps up to British title type level.
Lol, someone surely is taking the ****. Young Benn hasnt proved he is any better than area level yet.
