Benn of 1994 KO's Mugabi of 1985 within 4 rds......

I never thought Benn was highly skilled, but Mugabi's skills and defense sucked weenie...

Benn lands his better punches first and dusts off "The Beast."

Both had a bit of the dog in them, but I consider Benn a level above Mugabi due to being a more consistent performer at the top level.

Great slugfest while it lasts but Benn will prevail by KO.

Benn was quicker and I pick him in one or two rounds, because if this fight goes into round 4 I think Mugabi would have landed something big on Benn and stopped him. Barkley who was another big puncher (but not as had as Mugabi) had Benn hurt and if it was not for the 3 knockdown rule I think Barkley might have won.

A right tear up,this one. Just like the Benn-Barkely fight,it would be a case of who landed the killer punches first. It was Nigel on that occasion, and would be this time too.

Give that everyone thus far has picked Benn, I have to ask how folk think he would have done had he faced Hagler?

To this day, Hagler states Mugabi hit him the hardest & Mugabi was not even a natural MW!

Nigel would n't have stood much of a chance against Hagler. He'd hit him with as hard punches as Mugabi did,but not nearly enough of them.

Barkley had no BIDNESS being in the ring at 160 pounds by 1990 when he was wasted by Benn.... Barkley was sucking his food through a straw for a week before the fight to make the weight...

Benn's defense was average at best, but his chin and power was there at 160 and 168.... Mugabi never did **** at 160 or 168 pounds..... Benn was better than the powerful but limited Mugabi to the max....

If Benn shared a ring with the Mugabi that fought Hagler, it would have been a war...But like everyone else, I'd pick Benn by KO in four.
