One thing is sure, this fight would be dynamite. Two monstrous punchers toe to toe, I think it's a case of whoever lands first.

Jackson was a lesser fighter then Gman. I'd say Benn beats GM 2 outta 5

I'll take Benn because of the way he fought back when he was hurt

The Hawk was most dangerous at 154. Was severely undersized against McClellan. The size disadvantage against Benn would probably prove a bit too much, but then again Nigel didn't hold a shot like the granite chinned G-man. Still, if forced to bet the money would be on The Dark Destroyer.

Benn was never knocked out, so it's hard to see him being knocked out considering the huge punches he took against Eubank in their first fight and of course McClellan. It was short choppy shots on the chin that shook him, not especially hard. It was odd. But this is The Hawk... I could see Benn getting off the mark first and the ropes keeping Julian up, as Benn raids in, a fast JJ counter hook ala Barkley fight bangs his jaw to shock-stun him, falling forward into the ropes, down, up, and called off on unsteady legs. JJ KO1.

At 160 Jackson was far more powerful and slightly less reckless. Benn only started getting cute post EubankI, and that coincided roughly with his move up to 168lbs, and Jackson's peak period ending.

Jackson in 2/3 at 160; Benn in 5/6 at 168.

Benn was at his most dangerous when hurt. But Jackson does hurt you, he turns your lights out.

Whoever lands that punch first is the winner. It's a true pick 'em, a real 50/50 fight.

I agree. The Benn up to 1990,inclusive,would be in a 50/50 situation with Jackson. The more measured boxer/puncher from 1991/95 would more than likely win.

The fight would be dangerous for both guys...But I think Benn is the one who recups better...He would stop Jackson.

I agree and possibly a very short one.
