A bomb throwing war of two big punching middleweights. The fight is scheduled for 12 rounds, both at their best.

I'll go with Benn in 4 rounds do to his greater speed and though poor while at middleweight he still had a little defense.

    great matchup.
both had big power at middle, but mugabi had a great chin at his best, but then benn could crack great chins.
Benn was quite a wide hooker whereas mugabi was a shorter puncher and would punch inside benns hooks. Both could really gut it out too but I just give the edge to benn because of how he came through the fire against mclellan, although mugabis effort against hagler was heroic. id pick mugabi because he could land inside benns bombs and I think he had a better chin. but id pick benn because of his fighting spirit, ferocity and pinpoint bombing.

I wouldn't put a shilling on either of them with any confidence. Great fantasy fight.

Mugabi if the early-career (Watson/Barkley) or career-end (post-McClellan) wild Benn shows up would grind Benn down after a few scares, stop him.

But Benn became a fabulous boxer-puncher circa '92-'95; ducking, slipping, bobbing and weaving his way through Galvano's counters in Italy, through Eubank's flurries at Old Trafford and through McClellan's deadly leads, as well as jabbing unbeaten powerhouse Wharton's head off and countering late sub (and extremely strong and game) Giminez's head off.

THAT Benn was a world-beater... showing neat foot moves, better patience, placed shots and timed assaults off the ropes! HE would outpoint Mugabi.

    Hard call... 50/50 fight.

    I'd go Benn

At or near their best Mugabi a great "on Top" Fighter .... Benn A great Adversity Fighter... Both may encounter adversity in this fight.. of the two i have more faith in Nigel... Could look a bit like the Terminator Logan Bomb's Away...

One of the best fantasy match ups I have seen put forward. Both were brutal punchers, and I slightly favour Mugabi, but it it would be an absolute war!

I like Benn. Far more skilled and faster as well.

I agree I feel in a match up of two big hitters the deciding factor is commonly speed and defense, I think Benn has both.
