Now that is somebody that I'd love to see get asked back on fight night.

No sitting on the fence or umming and arring. Just straight forward answers/his opinion - no nonsense.

He'd make a great addition to sky, IMO.

Best pundit I've seen on sky sports in a long time.

Far too many matchroom employees of late. Bernard was a breath of fresh air.

I hope they have him on more regularly.

    What did you lads think?

I agree, refreshing to see a pundit with his own opinions.

I agree but I think he is too honest for Sky, like with his Crolla comments.

you'd have to think Sky were impressed with him tonight.

He's a fantastic pundit. And by all account, a terribly nice guy. I remember him signing literally hundreds of autographs for kids while he was there watching the Irish Amateur finals. A true gent of the sport.

Please Sky, dont just bring back all the matchroom fighters. Seriously, who wants to listen to Callum Smith stutter his way through a fight description when you can have clear and concise opinion from a man thats been there and done it.

I'm always shocked Sky don't lock in Richie Woodhall into a contract- he was excellent as a pundit and as a commentator on Eurosport tonight.

Sky need to be more selective with their pundits- for example Darren Barker is a likeable guy but isn't really suited to being a pundit.

    1) Richie is a road-warrior. Sky, C5, Eurosport - He does the lot. Might be hard nailing him down to one channel.

    2) Same with Martin Murray.

Moore, Bellew, Macklin and Paul Smith - These guys have got a scary amount of knowledge on their own (let alone together) and are the future of sky's Boxing booth IMO.

yeh he was good hes done boxnation before and was the same on there.

trouble with richie woodhall is he cant talk about a fight without throwing the punches he is describing. does it all the time
