Hopkins has good defence, the way he was slipping punches and countering with good combinations was great today.
I wouldn't say Joe is a shadow of the fighter he was, he is on the decline a bit, but he hasn't faded nowhere near as much as Jones has. Though if you ask deram, he'll tell you that the Calzaghe that fought Kessler is 160% of any Calzaghe we've ever seen. Damn, I really miss this guy.

Its a great matchup. Mosley surprised me with his KO win over Mayorga, Hopkins surprised me today and Roys 5 punch KO over Joe in the 8th round will cement a good year for me :yep

hopkins won the calzaghe fight in my eyes, but it was super close, I had no problem with the result going to Joe because I have watch alot of boxing in the last 20 years and fights like that can go either way
