Good fight. Rivera has heart. Always in these type of fights, fans use the opponent to belittle the prospect. Rivera deserves all the credit in the world for staying in the fight and not getting discouraged.
yeah, right after he gets dropped they want to change his glove and give him more time between rds...i don't know that Rivera would have been able to stop him, but I guarantee you that had that KD not taken place, Berto would still be wearing the same glove
Yo...berto would get knocked the **** out by any elite fighter...look how he throws his punches over the top and he is a short fighter..he is open for any and every punch..I dont know why guys fight scared of him...Parcells likes floyd ahahahah 5 of all time..FLOYD..for parcells..
Yeah, he def. needs to learn some of that. His defense is porous at best. That's the thing that makes a guy like Mayweather so great. Mayweather's got amazing natural talent, and yet, he's also a technical and tactical master. Berto's got some talent, for sure, but he cheats on the technical stuff because he thinks he can. A lot of the fast, young guys that keep their left hand low and throw lead left hooks eventually get schooled by a master boxer. Roy Jones is the only guy who really beat some good tacticians on pure talent alone (Hopkins and Toney). But then again, Jones was probably the most talented fighter in his prime (but talented doesn't mean best).

berto is a talented dumb fighter and is like a zab...but with less talent...thats as far as he is going to go..I mean he looked like a complete amateur off of the street trying to go for the knockout...without boxing......
some things during the fight got me a little confused...first Berto gets all that time to change his glove and then the ref asks Rivera's corner to wipe the blood and asks the corner if Rivera is ok to continue, but the doc is the one that's supposed to evaluate the cut
Not going to question his chin...yet. But Cotto would eat him alive for certain, and Mayweather would make him look like a 12-year old school girl.
I like that comparison. He looked an awful lot like Zab tonight, so spot on. He may win some good fights, perhaps even hold an alphabet title, but the true elites will take him out to lunch and stiff him with the bill.
