I think the kid needs another fight but I wouldn't mind seeing this fight even if they don't wait one more fight.
Same can be said about Canelo, that he's nothing special, but you're entitled to your own opinion, but i would still like to see that fight and favor Kirkland.
I wouldn't say kirkland is nothing special.. to say that is wrong... his defense is worse then canelo but he does give great fights... I think canelo are similar to an extent.. except canelo still has a lot of time and fits to improve that defense. Kirkland has to much heart... I think he has Mexican descent in him :hey
Ballsy move by Berto, I see no way that Alvarez's people let him take that fight, unless they have mad faith in him, If this fight is made, I will be blown away, and have the upmost respect for both these guys. These are the type of fights that boxing needs right now, and would fit nicely with the trend of fights happening that are worthy. Awsome fight. One I think that if made within 6 months from now, Berto wins. Id be rooting for Canelo though and hope he KO's Berto and proves me wrong.
Giving great fights doesnt make a fighter special. He's a top ACTION FIGHTER... but not a top fighter. Canelo is leaky defensively, but his technique is light years better than Kirkland's. And believe me... if Kirkland walked into the left hook that took out Baldomir... he'd be out.
