Berto beats him.

I'm now convinced that Ortiz' heart is not in it. Once he begins feeling the snapping uppercuts, he's going to crawl in a shell and refuse to engage properly.

I hope I'm wrong though, as I've always liked Ortiz.

 

Berto by mid/late KO imo.
Although Berto is not one of the standout performers in the division I think Ortiz doesn't have the heart for the big tests. Hope i'm wrong though cos I think Berto is protected...his resume is somewhat padded

 

50-50 fight for me......

Ortiz would be best coming out swinging from the first bell to try and get Berto out of there.

If he doesn't he'll start to have those niggling self doubts and be taken out in the middle rounds.

Then he'll retire.

 

ortiz has a heck of allot of skill but just seems to wilt badly when under pressure, i'm no fan of bertoe, if ortiz's brings his A game then berto's walking away with a loss on his disgraceful record

 

I'm fairly happy about this fight, both guys have been threading water going nowhere, it's about time we got a good fight out of each of them. It's fitting they face each other.

I hope Ortiz wins. I'm still holding out hope that he's got the heart to dig down deep and get a big win like this.

 

this is the fight where one of them proves they are a fighter. If ortiz loses he should retire if berto loses he gains his rightful place as a gatekeeper to world titles.

 

This is Ortiz fight to determine the out come because he has the skills and he has the ko power and the speed but is he willing to get his hand a little dirty I hope he does.

Don't rate either of them (being next big things). Should be a decent match up though. Love to see Ortiz chin Berto. Don't dislike Ortiz but he's to happy go lucky for my liking.

 

Hes cheesier than pizza and he has a big tattoo on his back because he's trying so hard to look mean and ****. Its like he wants to be Oscar one moment and Vargas the next, but he is neither and he just comes across as a tool.

 

sort his heart out?. How's that gonna happen then? . It's clear to see and nothing will change. You may get one heroic performance but he's never gonna be a Johnny Tapia type. He's gone from vicious puncher (Pre Maidana) to road runner (Post Maidana). Peterson was even worse then Maidana. He is dominating a man clearly shot of any belief/confidence and then when he gets tagged by a hopeful looping shot he backs off and then proceeds to blow his chance to win fight.

There's a reason why Khan's a world champion and Ortiz is still looked at as a contender.

It's been known since he was a kid that his heart isn't big enough for Professional Boxing.

It's no dig at the kid......he's got my respect for stepping in ring.
