It's been a while, but yeah I watched that fight with Daniel Zaragoza, That's the fight that made me a fan of Morales.
Now? Crawford. Recent memory? Add Floyd, Ward, Marquez. Go back further, McCallum is a great shout. Pete and Buddy. All time? Probably Buck Angel or Sam Little.
Currently it's Usyk, Crawford, and Inoue. Arguello, Calzaghe and JMM should be mentioned when it comes to making adjustments.
Inoue is excellent at making adjustments imo. He can work off the front foot, the back foot, can counter excellently, can use pressure, can exploit different angles. Even in the Nery fight you saw him getting countered for being overly aggressive then immediately he throws his punches from out of range, steps in and shells up, so Nery tries to counter and jump on him but just punches himself out instead. Then Inoue starts working off the back foot and counters Nery before pressuring him and breaking him down, working from different angles and getting his head off the centre line and not taking a picture or loading up to ensure he wasn't sticking around for a counter. I see a lot of noise made about Crawford making adjustments but apart from stance switching a lot or picking up the pace, he very rarely changes his approach from what I've seen. Just compare how Bud reacted to getting KDed against Kava to Inoue getting KDed against Nery. Inoue changed his whole approach and immediately fixes the issue Nery capitalised on, whereas Crawford just kept walking him down and trying to brawl Kava and still got caught clean and outworked in the exchanges. I think Inoue has the best ability to adapt in the game today imo.
