I always enjoyed the fight with Andy Kendall. Partially because a good friend of mine knew Kendall real well, but also because of how foster reacts to rough house tactics.

Finnegan is his best win. Finnegan was an outstanding fighter who came into his destiny and fought way beyond his means, forcing Foster to rise to the occasion, which Foster did.

The 4th round KO of the Muscular Hal "TNT" Carrol was interesting - but not sure if any film of it is available,

The Finnegan fight was the Rings 1972 fight of the year, coming after the beheadings of Rondon and Quarry, Chris was given little chance - to survive for long - by most experts, but they didnt know Finnegan, he boxed early, tried to fight late, and actually had Foster backing off for a few rounds, Chris took some mighty Shots from Foster, but kept coming, in the end Fatique and a big right hand (he'd taken similar shots earlier ) proved too much, Finnegan on this night was the second best lightheavy in the rankings, but this fight left its mark on Chris, and he wasnt quite the same again, Foster took on Ali and after being bounced around like a YoYo and KO'd in the 8th, he was not the same again, I doubt Fourie or Ahumada would of heard the final bell against the Pre-Ali Foster.

The Finnegan match was very exciting, and the Rondon massacre was one of the more conclusive. Against a guy who was a claimant to a world title at the time, no less.
