    We know the famous successes of Amir, Audley, David Haye, Carl Froch, James DeGale and Frankie Gavin...

    But what have been the biggest upsets against international greats by a Brit am, in decades gone by?

    Obviously Amir over Kindelan and Audley over Lezin are the known ones of recent times.

    Dick McTaggart.

    An Olympic Gold and Olympic Bronze. Completed in 3 olympics and was awesome.

    And strangely enough only got to the Olympics as England picked him, after Scotland refused him in favour of someone else.

    John Lyon, Craig Lyon's father was an 8 time ABA champion which i believe is a record.

    What about Frankie Gavin?? No British boxer has done what he's done and thats got to count for something!!

    Christie is a good call for national honours (and Calzaghe for that matter) but IMHO you've got to go with the guys that did it in international competition.

    The Olympics, the Worlds.....
