De La Hoya wasn't as consistent with his handpseed. But at times his speed was on par with Leonard's. Some of the combinations against Chavez and Trinidad. And as I said, watch that part of the 7th round against Corley. Round 7, with about 15-20's remaining in the corner, he was as quick as Leonard with those punches.

De La Hoya's hands were fast. He just lacks the fluidity to break into that higher class of hand speed. Mosley seemed to be quicker, and he was not in the Taylor department when it comes to hand speed. Taylor and Leonard are in a class all on their own.

Their has been so many over the yrs. R.Robinson, J.Louis, R.Leonard,R.Jones,Chavez sr. M.Tyson, D.Curry,T.Norris. H.Camacho sr. M.Mccallum, Ali of course Prime Hagler was excellent. I'd say most world class fighters who would be considered an A.T.G or had A.T.G ability could light an opponent up with awesome combinations. Saying one was "The Best" is very subjective at the least. M.Taylor used excellent combinations, but he rarely changes his punching power. His 1st punch was usually the same power as the last thrown in any combo he used. His combos were 1,2,3,4,5. Same power where a R.Robinson or a R.Leonard was 1, 2,3, BOOM,BOOM. You could actually see the speed, power, and intensity change in their punching in the middle of the combo.
