Ah, that makes it okay, then. No mention of the rest of the stuff.

The whole point of the thread is 'best dirty fighters' which means best at using dirty tactics, I'm not saying it's ok, btw I'm not a Tyson fan

My favourite is marco antonio barrera. One of the best ever when the fight was clean. One of the best ever when the fight was dirty. He didnt look for a dirty fight, but if it happened... it happened, and he could do it as well as the best one.

Kostya Tszyu used roughouse tactics in his fights with Mitchell,Gonzalez and Hatton.he did a judo throw on Mitchell in their first fight injuring him but he certainly left no doubt in the rematch.I think boxing monthly described Tszyu as a ‘rule bender’.

Hopkins is the master of using whatever sneaky underhanded tactics he can use to fashion an advantage, but he did it with intelligence and very rarely was penalised by refs.

Sakio Bika and Andre Ward were both fairly dirty, but their fight together they kind of nullified each other, I was expecting a DQ in that fight.

Ricky Hatton got away with all sorts against Kosta as well - which is maybe a bit of karma as Tszyu wasn't squeaky clean himself!

Mysterious Billy Smith. 11 losses by DQ but also good enough to hold the Welterweight Championship twice.

Harry Greb was a legendarily dirty fighter. Apparently you were about as likely to get elbowed, thumbed in the eye, socked in the nuts or butted, as you were to get hit. That was in addition to tamer stuff like spinning his opponent and shouldering into the clinch. They described him as a 'wildcat'.

Sandy Sadler, Hopkins, Ward, Evander’s head (not him just his head)… Foul Pole Golota who hit balls and bit people, Mike Tyson in the second half of his career. There’s been quite a few throughout history. Harry Greb was supposed to have been possibly the dirtiest fighter in history from what I’ve read.
