What do you think is the greatest division in boxing history? Which class produces the best fighters, the most memorable fights, etc

I'm a new fan but I think it's between the Welterweights and the Middleweights. In my favourite fighters list and most top P4P list I've seen are mostly filled by fighters from those classes.

    Welterweights.

Featherweight is my personal favorite division however.

    Welterweight.

Especially when Khan comes up, they got Alexander barking up there now and Special K and Mike Jones shall heat it up some more in months to come.

Welter seems the most consistent, ive got nothing to back that up it just feels that way.

I bet everybody knows more about the Heavyweight division than any other though.:deal

Light heavyweight always felt slightly un glamourous. Odd because size wise you tend to get some heavy hitters there. Unfortuantely for 175 it is stuck betweem middle and heavy.

    1. Lightweight- The quality at the top is as good or better than any other weight class, and it's as stacked as any apart from Middleweight
    2. Welterweight- Pretty much on a par with Lightweight
    3. Middleweight- More depth than either of the above, but not as strong at the top

Welterweights. I personally love the smaller weights smaller guys fighting like the devil. I just think that welterweight combines the speed, tenacity and the start of real power in the weight classes.

Heavyweight boxing is more for casual fans in my opinion the fascination with big bad dudes who could ko at any second, usually ends up two guys meandering around a ring hugging and gasping for air.

Welterweight consistently has a high standard of fighter, where as other classes seem to go through peaks and troughs.

I would say that Welter is where the skill and speed of the lower divisions meets the athleticism and power of the higher ones.

It's the Goldilocks zone. The first bowl of porridge was too hot, the second too cold, but the third was just right. You see?
